Men's Swimming and Diving: Raiders Win Third Straight

ALLAINCE, Ohio - Mount Union's men's swimming and diving team defeated St. Vincent 162-100 for their third straight win of the season Saturday at Hammond Natatorium.

Leading the way for the Purple Raiders was freshman Charles Marshall (Painesville / Riverside) with three first place finishes in the 200-yard medley relay, the 100-yard backstroke and 200-yard backstroke.

Other first place finishes came from sophomore Kyle Kresl (Fort Wayne, Ind. / Carroll) in the 1000-yard freestyle, senior Cole Ellsworth (Temperance, Mich. / Bedford) in the 200-yard freestyle, sophomore Isaiah Acosta (Buffalo, N.Y. / St. Joseph's) in the 100-yard breaststroke and the 200-yard IM, freshman Nathan Williams (Columbia, S.C. / Irmo) in the 200-yard butterfly, and sophomore Brett Scheib (Gibsonia, Pa. / Hampton) in the 500-yard freestyle. 

Senior Kyle Greig (Mentor) took first in the 1 mtr diving competition.

Mount Union next travels to John Carroll for an Ohio Athletic Conference dual Saturday, Nov. 2 at 3 p.m. in University Heights.
