Men's Swimming and Diving: Raiders Win Fourth Straight Dual Meet

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Mount Union men's swimming and diving team defeated non-conference opponent, Westminster (Pa.), 176-123 Saturday afternoon. 

The Purple Raiders (9-2, 2-2 OAC) were led by freshman Nathan Williams (Columbia, S.C. / Irmo) posting three first place finishes in the 200-yard butterfly, 200-yard backstroke, and the 200-yard IM. 

Other first place finishes came from sophomore Brett Scheib (Gibsonia, Pa. / Hampton) in the 1000-yard freestyle, senior Cole Ellsworth (Temperance, Mich. / Bedford) in the 200-yard freestyle and 500-yard freestyle, freshman Charles Marshall (Painesville / Riverside) in the 100-yard backstroke, sophomore Isaiah Acosta (Buffalo, N.Y. / St. Joseph) in the 100 and 200-yard breaststroke, and senior Logan Palochak (Hopewell, Pa. / Hopewell) in the 100-yard butterfly.

Mount Union returns to the pool for the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships starting Thursday, Feb. 13 held at the University of Akron.
