CANTON, Ohio – Mount Union's men's swimming and diving team defeated Malone 128-93 on Friday evening.
The Purple Raiders 200- yard medley relay team started the night with a win, the team consisted of freshman
Mason Wilkson (Dayton / Chaminade Julienne) and seniors
Nick Dye (Massillon / Jackson),
Brett Scheib (Gibsonia, Pa. / Hampton) and Jeff Labianco (Dayton / Chaminade Julienne).
Wilkson also won the 100-yard backstroke, with a time of 55.89. He also took second in the 200-yard individual medley, with teammate junior
Nathan Williams (Columbia, S.C. / Irmo) winning the event with a time of 2:02.89.
Scheib finished second in the 1000-yard freestyle and tied for second in the 100-yard butterfly with fellow teammate sophomore
Eli Holm (Murrysville, Pa. / Franklin Regional).
Holm, Labianco and Williams were also members of the 400-yard freestyle relay team that won, along with junior
Jason Tondra (Canton / Jackson). Tondra also took first in the 200-yard freestyle and took second in the 100-yard freestyle.
Freshman
Xander Lentz (Trafford, Pa. / Penn Trafford), sophomore
Eli Humeniuk (Sylvania / Northview) and freshman
Joel Weeman (Wooster) took first, second and third in the one-meter dive.
The Raiders are back in action tomorrow at 1 p.m. as they take on Oberlin in Oberlin, Ohio.
