CANTON, Ohio – The Mount Union women's swimming and diving team beat Malone 137-80 on Friday.
The Purple Raiders' 200-yard medley relay team won the first event of the night with a time of 1:57.04, the team consisted of freshman
Ava Breton (Cheshire, Conn.), freshman Annemarie Trench (Sterling, Va. / Home school), sophomore
Maddie Horrigan (Hudson) and senior
Erika Drager (Berea / Berea-Midpark).
Trench also won the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:24.68. Senior
Callie Landry (Broussard, La. / Teurlings Catholic) and sophomore
Lauren Hurley (Perry) took second and third in the event.
Breton won the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:02.33. Seniors Lee Collins (Uniontown / Jackson) and
Stacy Witschey (Wadsworth) took second and third in the same event.
Horrigan took second in the 100-yard butterfly and 50-yard freestyle. With Drager taking second in the 100-yard freestyle.
The Raiders 400-yard freestyle relay took home a win with a time of 3:54.35, the team included Breton, junior
Alexis Schuller (Middleburg Heights / Berea-Midpark), junior
Ziv Marco (Buffalo Grove, Ill.) and senior
Aurelia Incristi (Rockwall, Texas).
Trench and Incristi went first and second in the 100-yard breaststroke, with senior
Harlie Murphy (Louisville). Horrigan, Incristi and Drager took second, third and fourth in the 50-yard freestyle.
Schuller won the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:03.53. With Marco taking second in the 1000-yard freestyle.
Freshman
Mia Marciano (Austintown / Fitch) took second in the one-meter dive with a score of 144.35.
The Raiders are back in action tomorrow as they take on Oberlin at 1 p.m. in Oberlin, Ohio.
