Raiders Cruise Past Wooster at Home

ALLIANCE, Ohio – Mount Union's men's swimming and diving team defeated Wooster in a dual meet 199-99 on Friday night.

The Raiders 200-yard medley relay team started the night off with a first-place finish with a time of 1:38.76, the team consisted of freshman Mason Wilkson (Dayton / Chaminade Julienne), senior Nick Dye (Massillon / Jackson), senior Jeff LaBianco (Dayton / Chaminade Julienne) and junior Jason Tondra (Canton / Jackson).

Freshman Conner Arneson (Mount Horeb, Wis.) won the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:18.10.

Senior Brian Regovich (Willowick / Eastlake North) finished first in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:49.00. With Wilkson and senior Ben Hoffman (St. Cloud, Minn.) finishing first and second in the 50-yard backstroke.

Dye won the 50-yard breaststroke with a time of 27.44. With LaBianco and sophomore Eli Holm (Murrysville, Pa. / Franklin Regional) taking first and second in the 100-yard butterfly.

Tondra won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 22.52 and Arneson finished third. While Tondra also won the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 48.03.

Hoffman, Wilkson and Arneson finished first, second and third in the 100-yard backstroke finishing with times of 55.47, 55.71 and 56.80 respectively. Dye also won the 100-yard breaststroke.

LaBianco won the 50-yard butterly and junior Nathan Williams (Columbia, S.C. / Irmo) won the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:01.41)

Sophomore Eli Humeniuk (Sylvania / Northview) won the one-meter dive with freshman Xander Lentz (Trafford, Pa. / Penn Trafford) finishing third.

The Raiders 400-yard freestyle relay team consisting of Tondra, Wilkson, Holm and sophomore Andrew Hathaway (Lexington) finished the night with a win, finishing with a time of 3:16.20.

The Raiders are back in action Thursday, December 2 at the Wooster Invitational at Wooster High School in Wooster, Ohio.
