OLIVET, Mich. – Mount Union's wrestling team went 1-3 in four dual matches at the Olivet Duals Saturday at the Cutler Events Center.

Jack Stanley (Brecksville / Brecksville-Broadview Heights) at 125 pounds and David Massey (Cuyahoga Falls / Woodridge) at 133 pounds both went 4-0 on the day. Stanley had a tech fall, a decision, a forfeit win and a major decision while Massey, ranked fourth in the nation in the class, had a pin, a decision, a major decision and a decision win.

The Purple Raiders (1-4) opened the day with a 37-13 win over Alma, 37-13. Stanley and Massey started things off with a tech fall and a fall to get Mount out to an 11-0 lead. Justin Rayner got a win at 149, Chris Anderson had a tech fall at 165 while
Grant Martin (Hartville / Lake) got a pin at 285. Brailyn Lightner (Alliance) at 184 and Tyler Stepic at 197 both got forfeit wins.

Mount Union then lost 25-13 to Millikin (Ill.) as Stanley and Massey got the Raiders out to a 6-0 lead with a pair of wins. Zach Larue won at 149 but Millikin won five of the final six bouts with only a major decision from Stepic the only Raider points in that stretch.

Tournament host Olivet then scored a 32-16 win over Mount Union. Once again, the Raiders got out to an early 10-0 lead on a Stanley forfeit and a Massey major decision. The Raiders picked up just two more wins in the final eight bouts as Anderson got a 6-5 win at 165 and Stepic got a 13-7 win at 197.

In the final dual, a Stanley major decision at 125 and a Massey decision at 133 was bookended by a Martin 7-1 win at 285 in a 30-10 loss to Adrian (Mich.).
The Raiders come home to host Ohio Northern in the first home Ohio Athletic Conference dual of the year, Tuesday, Nov. 30 at 7 p.m. at The MAAC.
