CLEVELAND, Ohio – Mount Union's women's swimming and diving team lost to John Carroll 182-115 on Saturday afternoon.
The Purple Raiders 200-yard medley relay team started the day off with a second-place finish, they finished with a time of 1:54.67. The team consisted of freshman
Ava Breton (Chesire, Conn.), freshman Annemarie Trench (Sterling, Va. / Home school), sophomore
Maddie Horrigan (Hudson) and senior
Aurelia Incristi (Rockwall, Texas).
Freshman
Emma Kreber (Cranberry Twp., Pa. / Seneca Valley) and junior
Ziv Marco (Buffalo Grove, Ill. / Adlai E. Stevenson) took first and second in the 1000-yard freestyle. Junior
Alexis Schuller (Middleburg Heights / Berea-Midpark) took second in the 200-yard freestyle, with Marco taking third.
Breton took second in the 100-yard backstroke, finishing with a time of 1:01.86. With Trench taking second in the 100-yard breaststroke. Horrigan finished second in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 25.17.
Senior
Erika Drager (Berea / Berea-Midpark) took second in the 100-yard freestyle, with a time of 56.05. While teammates Schuller and Horrigan took third and fourth.
Breton won the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:17.00. Trench won the 200-yard breaststroke, finishing with a time of 2:36.29.
Marco and Kreber went first and second in the 500-yard freestyle. With Horrigan taking second in the 100-yard butterfly.
The Raiders are back in action Saturday, November 13 at 1 p.m. against Baldwin Wallace at Hammond Natatorium in Alliance, Ohio.
