ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Mount Union men's swimming and diving team fell to John Carroll University with a final score of 172-127 in their second Ohio Athletic Conference dual-meet match up Saturday afternoon at the Hammond Natatorium.
Mount Union was led by sophomore Jason Tondra (Canton / Massillon Jackson) who claimed first in the 200-yard freestyle (1:46.00) and the 50-yard freestyle (21.85) for the second week in a row. Tondra also rounded out his day with a second-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle (47.82). In the 200-yard butterfly, the Purple Raiders claimed first and second by freshman Eli Holm (Murrysville, Pa. / Franklin Regional) (2:00.52) and sophomore Nathan Williams (Columbia, S.C. / Irmo) (2:01.76). For the 200-yard breaststroke junior Isaiah Acosta (Buffalo, N.Y. / St. Joseph) took first with a time of 2:14.60.
The Purple Raiders travel to Wilmington next weekend for another dual-meet matchup on Saturday, Feb. 13 at 1 PM in the Wilmington Natatorium.
