TIFFIN, Ohio -- Mount Union's wrestling team won its third straight dual with a 39-15 win over Wilmington Sunday at the Ohio Athletic Conference Duals in Seiberling Gymasium at Heidelberg University.

The Purple Raiders won five of the seven contested matches and are now 4-5 overall and 3-2 in the OAC.

Mount Union started the match with forfeit wins at 125 and 133, before Zach Berdysz (Perry) got a pin at 141 pounds and the Raiders were out to an 18-0 lead.

Two more pins came from Luke Hernandez (Nashport / Tri-Valley) at 149 and Jesse Wright (Tontogany / Otsego) at 157 and the Mount Union lead was 30-0.

Kris Jones (Twinsburg) got the Raiders a 12-6 victory at 165 that pushed the lead to 33-0.

Wilmington (0-9, 0-5) got on the board with a win at 174 but George Lassnick (Painesville / Lake Catholic) came right back with a pin at 184 and Mount Union held a commanding 39-3 lead.

The Quakers finished the scoring with a pin at 197 and forfeit win at 285 for the 39-15 final.

Mount Union closes out the duals with a match against Heidelberg.
