WOOSTER, Ohio – Mount Union's men's swimming and diving team beat Wooster in their season opener 197-145 on Saturday afternoon.
Top Finishers
- 1000-yard freestyle: sophomore Dylan Cossin (Stow / Stow-Munroe Falls) took first with a time of 10:05.39, sophomore Conner Arneson (Mount Horeb, Wis.) finished second with a time of 10:27.92
- 200-yard freestyle: freshman Lucas Starling (Lexington) won the event with a time of 1:46.30
- 400-yard individual medley: senior Nathan Williams (Columbia, S.C. / Irmo) finished second with a time of 4:22.60
- 200-yard butterfly: sophomore Michael Hubbard (Springfield, Va.) finished first with a time of 2:04.42, junior Eli Holm (Murrysville, Pa. / Franklin Regional) finished second with a time of 2:04.90
- 200-yard backstroke: freshman Jacob Hathaway (Lexington) won the event with a time of 1:56.95, sophomore Mason Wilkson (Dayton / Chaminade Julienne) finished second with a time of 2:02.86
- 50-yard freestyle: Starling won the event with a time of 22.24, freshman Will Dorenknott (Stow / Stow-Munroe Falls) finished second with a time of 22.53
- 100-yard individual medley: Williams finished second with a time of 55.79
- 50-yard butterfly: freshman Hethon Foster (East Haven, Conn.) finished second with a time of 24.73
- 50-yard backstroke: Hathaway won the event with a time of 25.00, Wilkson finished second with a time of 26.05
- 500-yard freestyle: Cossin finished first with a time of 4:54.88, Arneson finished second with a time of 5:01.70
- 100-yard freestyle: Starling won the event with a time of 48.61
- 200-yard individual medley: Williams finished second with a time of 2:04.21
- 100-yard butterfly: Foster finished second with a time of 55.06
- 100-yaard backstroke: Hathaway won with a time of 53.22, Wilkson got second with a time of 55.57
