WOOSTER, Ohio – Mount Union's women's swimming and diving team lost their season opener to Wooster 181-161.
Top Finishers
- 1000-yard freestyle: sophomore Emma Kreber (Cranberry Twp., Pa. / Seneca Valley) finished second with a time of 11:22.45
- 200-yard freestyle: freshman Abby Calaway (Berea / Berea-Midpark) won the event with a time of 1:59.67
- 200-yard backstroke: freshman Jordyn Miller (Strongsville) won the event with a time of 2:17.13, senior Alexis Schuller (Middleburg Heights / Berea-Midpark) finished second with a time of 2:17.19
- 200-yard freestyle: senior Ziv Marco (Buffalo Grove, Ill. / Adlai E. Stevenson) finished second with a time of 2:06.04
- 50-yard freestyle: Calaway finished second with a time of 25.30
- 100-yard individual medley: freshman Nina Veldt (Holland, Mich.) finished second with a time of 1:06.97
- 50-yard butterfly: junior Maddie Horrigan (Hudson) won the event with a time of 26.95
- 50-yard backstroke: Schuller won the event with a time of 30.15, Miller finished second with time of 30.30 and sophomore Erika Fogarty (Dimondale, Mich. / Holt) finished third with a time of 30.71
- 500-yard freestyle: Kreber finished second with a time of 5:39.41
- 100-yard freestyle: Calaway won the event with a time of 54.32
- 100-yard butterfly: Horrigan won the event with a time of 1:01.76
- 100-yard backstroke: Miller finished first with a time of 1:04.74, Schuller finished second with a time of 1:05.66
