Men's Swimming: Raiders Get Home Opening Win over Oberlin

ALLIANCE, Ohio – Mount Union's men's swimming and diving defeated Oberlin 176-104 in a dual meet on Saturday afternoon.

Top Scorers
  • 400-yard medley relay: team consisting of freshman Jacob Hathaway (Lexington), senior Nathan Williams (Columbia, S.C. / Irmo), freshman Hethon Foster (East Haven, Conn.) and senior Jason Tondra (Canton / Massillon Jackson) finished second with a time of 3:36.29
  • 1000-yard freestyle: sophomore Dylan Cossin (Stow / Stow-Munroe Falls) won the event with a time of 10:01.59
  • 200-yard freestyle: freshman Lucas Starling (Lexington) won the event with a time of 1:46.16, senior Brett Scheib (Gibsonia, Pa. / Hampton) finished second with a time 1:48.55, Williams finished third with a time of 1:49.53
  • 100-yard backstroke: Hathaway won the event with a time of 53.01, sophomore Mason Wilkson (Dayton / Chaminade Julienne) finished 54.59
  • 100-yard breaststroke: freshman Owen Zundell (Marietta) finished second with a time of 1:06.67
  • 200-yard butterfly: junior Eli Holm (Murrysville, Pa. / Franklin Regional) finished second with a time of 2:02.54
  • 50-yard freestyle: Starling won the event with a time of 22.09
  • 100-yard freestyle: Starling won the event with a time of 47.94
  • 200-yard backstroke: Hathaway won the event with a time of 1:57.66, Williams finished second with a time of 1:59.22
  • 500-yard freestyle: Cossin won the event with a time of 4:50.18
  • 100-yard butterfly: Foster finished second with a time of 54.95
  • 200-yard individual medley: Williams won the event with a time of 2:01.63
  • 400-yard freestyle relay: team consisting of Hathaway, Scheib, Tondra and Starling won the event with a time of 3:14.80, team consisting of Cossin, Foster, sophomore Conner Arneson (Mount Horeb, Wis.) and freshman Will Dorenkott (Stow / Stow-Munroe Falls) finished second with a time of 3:19.25
The Raiders are home again next when they host John Carroll on Saturday, November 5 at 1 p.m. at Hammond Natatorium in Alliance.
