ALLIANCE, Ohio – Mount Union's men's swimming and diving team lost a dual meet to John Carroll 174-88 on Saturday afternoon.
Top Finishers
- 1000-yard freestyle: sophomore Dylan Cossin (Stow / Stow-Munroe Falls) won the event with a time of 10:18.09 and senior Brett Scheib (Gibsonia, Pa. / Hampton) finished second with a time of 10:21.20
- 200-yard freestyle: freshman Lucas Starling (Lexington) finished second with a time of 1:46.35 and senior Jason Tondra (Canton / Massillon Jackson) finished third with a time of 1:48.41
- 100-yard backstroke: freshman Jacob Hathaway (Lexington) finished second with a time of 52.86
- 200-yard butterfly: junior Eli Holm (Murrysville, Pa. / Franklin Regional) won the event with a time of 2:02.68 and sophomore Michael Hubbard (Springfield, Va.) finished second with a time of 2:03.20
- 50-yard freestyle: Hathaway finished second with a time of 22.18
- 100-yard freestyle: Starling finished second with a time of 48.25
- 200-yard backstroke: Hathaway won the event with a time of 1:57.81
- 500-yard freestyle: Cossin finished second with a time of 4:57.39
