ALLIANCE, Ohio – Mount Union's women's swimming and diving team lost a dual meet to John Carroll 196-102 on Saturday afternoon.
Top Finishers
- 1000-yard freestyle: senior Ziv Marco (Buffalo Grove, Ill. / Adlai E. Stevenson) won the event with a time of 11:28.45 and sophomore Emma Kreber (Cranberry Twp., Pa. / Seneca Valley) finished second with a time of 11:37.12
- 200-yard freestyle: freshman Abby Calaway (Berea / Berea-Midpark) won the event with a time of 1:56.98
- 200-yard butterfly: freshman Nina Veldt (Holland, Mich.) finished second with a time of 2:24.41
- 50-yard freestyle: Calaway finished second with a time of 25.36 and junior Maddie Horrigan (Hudson) finished third with a time of 25.58
- 100-yard freestyle: Calaway won the event with a time of 54.50
- 200-yard backstroke: freshman Jordyn Miller (Strongsville) finished second with a time of 2:15.36 and senior Alexis Schuller (Middleburg Heights / Berea-Midpark) finished third with a time of 2:18.76
- 500-yard freestyle: Marco finished second with a time of 5:37.37 and Kreber finished third with a time of 5:47.96
- 100-yard butterfly: Horrigan finished second with a time of 1:02.28
- 400-yard freestyle: team consisting of Calaway, Horrigan, Marco and Shculler finished second with a time of 3:46.81
The Raiders hit the road next when they travel to Berea to take on Baldwin Wallace on Saturday, November 12 at 1 p.m.
