ASHLAND, Ohio -- Mount Union senior David Massey (Cuyahoga Falls / Woodridge) won his match at 133 pounds to give him 100 career wins but the Purple Raiders fell 26-16 at Ashland Saturday.

Massey is now one of seven wrestlers all-time to win at least 100 matches in his career and he is the first to do it since Alec Cotton in 2017.

As for the rest of the dual, Mount Union (4-8) won a total of four matches and did not allow the Eagles (8-6), ranked No. 12 in NCAA Division II, to close out the dual until the final match.

The Raiders other wins came in the form of a pin by George Lassnick (Painesville / Lake Catholic) at 184 pounds and wins by Jack Stanley (Brecksville / Brecksville-Broadview Heights) at 125 and Jordin James (Bedford) at 141. 

Mount Union closes out the regular season with a dual against Glenville State (W.Va.) at Ashland.
