COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Mount Union's women's tennis team suffered an 8-1 loss against Capital in the Ohio Athletic Conference opener Saturday at the Olympic Racquet Club in Columbus.

The Purple Raiders (1-3, 0-1 OAC) got their lone point at No. 1 singles as freshman Abby Franks (Canton / Canton South) went to a third-set tie-break.

Mount Union is back in action Sunday, March 27 at 1 p.m. with an OAC match against John Carroll inside Peterson Fieldhouse
