Men's Swimming: Raiders Down Allegheny at Home

ALLIANCE, Ohio – Mount Union's men's swimming and diving team defeated Allegheny 163-37 in a dual meet on Friday night.

Top Finishers
  • 200-yard medley relay: team consisting of freshman Jacob Hathaway (Lexington), senior Nate Williams (Columbia, S.C. / Irmo), freshman Hethon Foster (East Haven, Conn.) and freshman Lucas Starling (Lexington) won the event with a time of 1:38.47
  • 1000-yard freestyle: sophomore Thomas Ginocchi (Oakdale, Pa. / West Allegheny) won the event with a time of 10:40.39 and senior Aidan Spinola (Murrysville, Pa. / Franklin Regional) finished second with a time of 10:50.19
  • 200-yard freestyle: sophomore Dylan Cossin (Stow / Stow-Munroe Falls) won the event with a time of 1:47.94 and senior Brett Scheib (Gibsonia, Pa. / Hampton) finished second with a time of 1:49.28
  • 50-yard freestyle: Foster won the event with a time of 22.44 and Starling finished second with a time of 22.50
  • 200-yard individual medley: Williams won the event with a time of 1:59.34 and Hathaway finished second with a time 2:00.21
  • 100-yard butterfly: sophomore Mason Wilkson (Dayton / Chaminade Julienne) finished second with a time of 54.57
  • 100-yard freestyle: senior Jason Tondra (Canton / Jackson) won the event with a time of 48.66
  • 100-yard backstroke: Hathaway won the event with a time of 52.72 and freshman Will Dorenkott (Stow / Stow-Munroe Falls) finished second with a time of 56.46
  • 500-yard freestyle: junior Eli Holm (Murrysville, Pa. / Franklin Regional) won the event with a time of 5:05.37 and Ginocchi finished second with a time of 5:10.45
  • 100-yard breaststroke: Starling won the event with a time of 1:04.00
  • 200-yard freestyle relay: team consisting of Williams, Dorenkott, Scheib and Tondra won the event with a time of 1:29.19
The Raiders are back in action again tomorrow when they host Westminster on Senior Day at 1 p.m. in Hammond Natatorium in Alliance.
