Men's Swimming: Raiders Down Saint Vincent on the Road

LATROBE, Pa. – Mount Union's men's swimming and diving team beat Saint Vincent 174-88 in a non-conference matchup on Saturday afternoon.

Top Finishers
  • 200-yard medley relay: team consisting of sophomore Jacob Hathaway (Lexington), sophomore Lucas Starling (Lexington), freshman Daniel Claxton (Georgetown, Guyana / West Demerara Secondary) and freshman Vinny Aldewereld (Valley City / North Royalton) finished second with a time of 1:38.92
  • 1000-yard freestyle: junior Dylan Cossin (Stow / Stow-Munroe Falls) won the event with a time of 10:39.21
  • 200-yard freestyle: Hathaway won the event with a time of 1:48.84 and junior Mason Wilkson (Dayton / Chaminade Julienne) finished second with a time of 1:50.14
  • 50-yard backstroke: freshman Bruce Beyer (Plymouth, Mich. / Plymouth-Salem) finished second with a time of 25.54
  • 50-yard breaststroke: freshman AJ Quisno (Toledo / St. Francis De Sales) finished second with a time of 29.47
  • 100-yard butterfly: senior Eli Holm (Murrysville, Pa. / Franklin Regional) won the event with a time of 53.97 and freshman Blayne Maurer (Canton / GlenOak) finished second with a time of 54.74
  • 50-yard freestyle: Aldewereld won the event with a time of 22.28 and Starling won the event with a time of 22.52
  • 100-yard freestyle: Starling won the event with a time of 49.35 and Beyer finished second with a time of 49.99
  • 100-yard backstroke: Hathaway won the event with a time of 53.36
  • 100-yard breaststroke: Quisno finished second with a time of 1:03.92
  • 500-yard freestyle: junior Conner Arneson (Mount Horeb, Wis.) won the event with a time of 4:59.47 and Holm finished second with a time of 5:06.02
  • 50-yard butterfly: Claxton won the event with a time of 24.62 and Maurer finished second with a time of 24.98
  • 100-yard individual medley: Wilkson finished second with a time of 57.42
  • 200-yard freestyle relay: team consisting of Starling, Aldewereld, Arneson and Hathaway won the event with a time of 1:28.32 and the team consisting of freshman Cameron Burnett (Canfield), junior Michael Hubbard (Springfield, Va. / Home school), Holm and Cossin finished second with a time of 1:32.24
The Raiders hit the road again next when they travel to Oberlin on Saturday, October 28 at 1 p.m.
