LATROBE, Pa. – Mount Union's women's swimming and diving team defeated Saint Vincent in a non-conference matchup 170-91 on Saturday afternoon.
Top Finishers
- 200-yard medley relay: team consisting of junior Ava Breton (Cheshire, Conn.), freshman Hannah Royer (Bristow, Va. / Patriot), sophomore Kayla Stewart (Marietta) and junior Emily Hauck (Avon Lake) finished second with a time of 1:58.88
- 1000-yard freestyle: junior Emma Kreber (Cranberry Twp., Pa. / Seneca Valley) won the event with a time of 11:23.25
- 200-yard freestyle: sophomore Abby Calaway (Berea / Berea-Midpark) won the event with a time of 2:02.78 and senior Ziv Marco (Buffalo Grove, Ill. / Adlai E. Stevenson) finished second with a time of 2:05.20
- 50-yard backstroke: Breton won the event with a time of 29.77
- 100-yard butterfly: sophomore Nina Veldt (Holland, Mich.) won the event with a time of 1:04.52 and Stewart finished second with a time of 1:04.71
- 50-yard freestyle: Calaway won the event with a time of 26.44 and sophomore Isabelle Parr (Brunswick) finished second with a time of 26.76
- 100-yard freestyle: Calaway won the event with a time of 56.05 and Parr finished second with a time of 57.38
- 100-yard backstroke: Breton won the event with a time of 1:04.97 and sophomore Jordyn Miller (Strongsville) finished second with a time of 1:05.77
- 100-yard breaststroke: freshman Julia Basista (Youngstown / Boardman) finished second with a time of 1:15.67
- 500-yard freestyle: Marco won the event with a time of 5:32.90 and Kreber finished second with a time of 5:36.00
- 50-yard butterfly: Stewart won the event with a time of 29.05 and Veldt finished second with a time of 29.45
- 100-yard individual medley: Veldt finished second with a time of 1:09.09
- 200-yard freestyle relay: team consisting of Stewart, Parr, Hauck and Calaway won the event with a time of 1:44.69 and the team consisting of Breton, junior Erika Fogarty (Dimondale, Mich / Holt), Miller and Kreber finished second with a time of 1:48.68
