UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio – Mount Union's women's swimming and diving team was defeated in an Ohio Athletic Conference dual meet 104-195 to John Carroll on Friday evening.
Top Finishers
- 400-yard medley relay: team consisting of junior Ava Breton (Cheshire, Conn.), freshman Julia Basista (Youngstown / Boardman), sophomore Nina Veldt (Holland, Mich.) and junior Emily Hauck (Avon Lake) finished second with a time of 4:19.95
- 1000-yard freestyle: senior Ziv Marco (Buffalo Grove, Ill. / Adlai E. Stevenson) won the event with a time of 11:22.83 and senior Elizabeth Regovich (Willowick / Eastlake North) finished second with a time of 11:45.54
- 200-yard freestyle: sophomore Abby Calaway (Berea / Berea-Midpark) finished second with a time of 2:00.69
- 100-yard backstroke: Breton finished second with a time of 1:05.21
- One-meter dive: sophomore Claire Fried (Kent / Kent Roosevelt) finished second with a score of 194.70
- 100-yard freestyle: Calaway finished second with a time of 55.66
- 200-yard backstroke: sophomore Jordyn Miller (Strongsville) finished second with a time of 2:21.12
- 500-yard freestyle: junior Emma Kreber (Cranberry Twp., Pa. / Seneca Valley) won the event with a time of 5:32.36 and Marco finished second with a time of 5:35.94
- 100-yard butterfly: Veldt finished second with a time of 1:05.20
- Three-meter dive: Fried finished second with a score of 173.17
- 200-yard freestyle relay: team consisting of Calaway, sophomore Isabelle Parr (Brunswick), Fogarty and Hauck finished second with a time of 1:43.55
