Men's Swimming: Raiders Swim Past Wooster

ALLIANCE, Ohio – Mount Union's men's swimming and diving team defeated Wooster 190-136 in a dual meet on Saturday afternoon.

Top Finishers
  • 400-yard medley relay: freshman Bruce Beyer (Plymouth, Mich. / Plymouth-Salem), sophomore Hethon Foster (East Haven, Conn.), junior Michael Hubbard (Springfield, Va. / Home school) and sophomore Lucas Starling (Lexington) won the event with a time of 3:39.61
  • 1000-yard freestyle: junior Dylan Cossin (Stow / Stow-Munroe Falls) won the event with a time of 10:27.12
  • 200-yard freestyle: Starling won the event with a time of 1:48.70 and freshman Cameron Burnett (Canfield) finished second with a time of 1:51.11
  • 100-yard backstroke: junior Mason Wilkson (Dayton / Chaminade Julienne) won the event with a time of 54.89 and sophomore Keith Turnbull (Stow / Stow-Munroe Falls) finished second with a time of 55.62
  • 100-yard breaststroke: Foster finished second with a time of 1:03.73
  • 200-yard butterfly: Hubbard won the event with a time of 1:59.72 and senior Eli Holm (Murrysville, Pa. / Franklin Regional) finished second with a time of 2:02.12
  • 50-yard freestyle: sophomore Jacob Hathaway (Lexington) won the event with a time of 21.81 and freshman Vinny Aldewereld (Valley City / North Royalton) finished second with a time of 22.10
  • 100-yard freestyle: Hathaway won the event with a time of 48.34
  • 200-yard backstroke: Turnbull won the event with a time of 2:02.96 and Beyer finished second with a time of 2:05.31
  • 200-yard breaststroke: freshman AJ Quisno (Toledo / St. Francis De Sales) finished second with a time of 2:19.47
  • 500-yard freestyle: Cossin won the event with a time of 4:58.25 and Starling finished second with a time of 5:06.56
  • 100-yard butterfly: senior Andrew Hathaway (Lexington) won the event with a time of 52.72 and Hubbard finished second with a time of 54.21
  • 200-yard freestyle relay: team consisting of Hathaway, Aldewereld, Beyer and Starling won the event with a time of 1:27.68
The Raiders are home again next when Baldwin Wallace comes to Alliance on Saturday, November 11 at 1 p.m.
