ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Mount Union wrestling team lost a pair of matches in its home tri-match on Sunday.
 
The Raiders lost, 37-3, to No. 5 Baldwin Wallace. The Yellow Jackets won the Ohio Athletic Conference Championship. Raider senior Chris Anderson (Streetsboro, OH / Streetsboro) won by decision (8-4) over Baldwin Wallace's Hunter Kupniewski at 165.
 
NCAA Division II No. 21-ranked Ashland came back and won 26-21 against the Raiders. Mount won the first four weights, before the Eagles won the last six. Junior Sam Tillett (Kent, OH / Kent Roosevelt) won via forfeit at 125, first-year Andrew Magness (Cincinnati, OH / Elder) had a technical fall (17-1 4:44) victory over Jeremiah McKee at 133, first-year Ambrose Boni (Aliquippa, PA / Central Valley) earned a major decision (9-0) over Jacob Sundberg at 141, and first-year Darese Sparkman (Massillon, OH / Massillon Perry) earned a pin (1:09) at 149 over Zander Graham.
 
In the other match, Baldwin Wallace won over Ashland, 26-18.
 
Mount is back in action at the two-day NCAA Central Regional Championships, starting on Saturday, Feb. 25 at 11 a.m. Case Western Reserve will serve as hosts.
