Men's Swimming: Raiders Down St. Vincent in Home Finale

ALLIANCE, Ohio – Mount Union's men's swimming and diving team defeated Saint Vincent 169-88 in a dual meet on Saturday afternoon.

Top Finishers
  • 200-yard medley relay: team consisting of freshman Jacob Hathaway (Lexington), senior Nathan Williams (Columbia, S.C. / Irmo), junior Eli Holm (Murrysville, Pa. / Franklin Regional) and senior Jason Tondra (Canton / Jackson) won the event with a time of 1:38.38
  • 1000-yard freestyle: sophomore Dylan Cossin (Stow / Stow-Munroe Falls) won the event with a time of 10:22.30 and senior Brett Scheib (Gibsonia, Pa. / Hampton) finished second with a time of 10:25.05
  • 200-yard freestyle: freshman Lucas Starling (Lexington) won the event with a time of 1:47.49 and sophomore Conner Arneson (Mount Horeb, Wis.) finished second with a time of 1:49.79
  • 100-yard backstroke: Hathaway won the event with a time of 52.29
  • 100-yard breaststroke: Williams won the event with a time of 1:02.82 and freshman Hethon Foster (East Haven, Conn.) finished second with a time of 1:04.20
  • 200-yard butterfly: Holm won the event with a time of 2:01.78 and freshman Keith Turnbull (Stow / Stow-Munroe Falls) finished second with a time of 2:07.22
  • 50-yard freestyle: Tondra won the event with a time of 22.30 and Starling finished second with a time of 22.51
  • 100-yard freestyle: Starling won the event with a time of 48.84 and Tondra finished second with a time of 48.86
  • 200-yard backstroke: Hathaway won the event with a time of 1:56.71 and sophomore Mason Wilkson (Dayton / Chaminade Julienne) finished second with a time of 2:00.87
  • 200-yard breaststroke: freshman Owen Zundell (Marietta) finished second with a time of 2:25.33
  • 500-yard freestyle: Cossin won the event with a time of 4:55.85 and Arneson finished second with a time of 5:05.31
  • 100-yard butterfly: Foster won the event with a time of 54.07 and Holm finished second with a time of 54.40
The Raiders return to action on Wednesday, February 15 for the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships at 6 p.m. in Akron.
