ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Mount Union women's tennis team won its first match of the season with a 6-3 victory over Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) foe Marietta at home on Wednesday.
Mount Union (1-6, 1-2 OAC) won the first three singles matches and swept doubles. Sophomore
Abby Franks (Canton, Ohio / Canton South) led the Raiders with a win at No. 1 singles (6-1, 6-1) and teamed up with first-year
Amelia Francisco (Canfield, Ohio / Canfield) for an 8-0 win at No. 1 doubles.
The Purple Raiders will travel to Capital on Friday, April 7 with a 1 p.m. start.
