Men's Swimming: Raiders Grab Dual Meet Victory Over Ashland

ASHLAND, Ohio – Mount Union's men's swimming and diving team defeated Ashland 164-130 in a dual meet on Friday evening.

Top Finishers
  • 200-yard medley relay: team consisting of junior Mason Wilkson (Dayton / Chaminade Julienne), freshman AJ Quisno (Toledo / St. Francis De Sales), freshman Blayne Maurer (Canton / GlenOak) and senior Eli Holm (Murrysville, Pa. / Franklin Regional) finished second with a time of 1:40.39
  • 1650-yard freestyle: junior Conner Arneson (Mount Horeb, Wis.) finished second with a time of 17:13.75
  • 200-yard freestyle: junior Dylan Cossin (Stow / Stow-Munroe Falls) won the event with a time of 1:46.34 and sophomore Lucas Starling (Lexington) finished second with a time of 1:47.18
  • 100-yard backstroke: Wilkson won the event with a time of 54.23 and freshman Bruce Beyer (Plymouth, Mich. / Plymouth-Salem) finished second with a time of 54.48
  • 200-yard butterfly: junior Michael Hubbard (Springfield, Va. / Home school) won the event with a time of 1:58.39
  • 50-yard freestyle: sophomore Jacob Hathaway (Lexington) won the event with a time of 21.64 and freshman Vinny Aldewereld (Valley City / North Royalton) finished second with a time of 22.20
  • Three-meter dive: sophomore Joe Drsek (Kenston) finished second with a score of 150.55
  • 100-yard freestyle: Starling won the event with a time of 49.69 and Holm finished second with a time of 51.26
  • 200-yard backstroke: Hathaway won the event with a time of 1:58.30 and sophomore Keith Turnbull (Stow / Stow-Munroe Falls) finished second with a time of 2:05.30
  • 500-yard freestyle: Cossin won the event with a time of 4:50.86 and Arneson finished second with a time of 4:58.05
  • 100-yard butterfly: Hathaway won the event with a time of 53.58
  • One-meter dive: Drsek finished second with a score of 153.00
  • 200-yard freestyle relay: team consisting of Hathaway, Beyer, Aldewereld and Starling finished second with a time of 1:28.18
The Raiders return home tomorrow for a dual meet against Wilmington at 1 p.m. in Hammond Natatorium, tomorrow will also be Senior Night.
