Women's Swimming: Raiders Pick Up Road Win Over Ashland

ASHLAND, Ohio – Mount Union women's swimming and diving team beat Ashland 154-141 in a dual meet on Friday night.

Top Finishers
  • 200-yard medley relay: team consisting of junior Ava Breton (Cheshire, Conn.), freshman Hannah Royer (Bristow, Va. / Patriot), sophomore Kayla Stewart (Marietta) and junior Emily Hauck (Avon Lake) finished second with a time of 1:59.04
  • 1650-yard freestyle: junior Emma Kreber (Cranberry Twp., Pa. / Seneca Valley) won the event with a time of 18:40.63 and senior Elizabeth Regovich (Willowick / Eastlake North) finished second with a time of 19.29.28
  • 200-yard freestyle: sophomore Abby Calaway (Berea / Berea-Midpark) won the event with a time of 1:59.68 and senior Ziv Marco (Buffalo Grove, Ill. / Adlai E. Stevenson) finished second with a time of 2:04.68
  • 100-yard backstroke: freshman Reagan Durbin (Dover) won the event with a time of 1:04.48
  • 200-yard butterfly: sophomore Nina Veldt (Holland, Mich.) won the event with a time of 2:22.71 and sophomore Isabelle Parr (Brunswick) finished second with a time of 2:28.38
  • 50-yard freestyle: Calaway won the event with a time of 25.50
  • One-meter dive: sophomore Claire Fried (Kent / Kent Roosevelt) finished second with a score of 194.40
  • 100-yard freestyle: Calaway won the event with a time of 54.09
  • 200-yard backstroke: Durbin finished second with a time of 2:19.02
  • 200-yard breaststroke: freshman Julia Basista (Youngstown / Boardman) won the event with a time of 2:40.54
  • 500-yard freestyle: Marco finished second with a time of 5:34.30
  • 100-yard butterfly: Veldt finished second with a time of 1:05.18
  • Three-meter dive: Fried finished second with a score of 178.10
  • 200-yard freestyle relay: team consisting of Hauck, Parr, Calaway and junior Erika Fogarty (Dimondale, Mich. / Holt) finished second with a time of 1:44.82
The Raiders are back home tomorrow for Senior Night in a dual meet against Wilmington at 1 p.m. in Hammond Natatorium.
