ALLIANCE, Ohio – Mount Union's women's swimming and diving team won their season opener 153-109 against Saint Vincent on Friday evening.
Top Finishers
- 400-yard medley relay: team consisting of freshman Peyton Sisler (Warren / Howland), freshman Riley McCombs (Akron / Springfield), junior Nina Veldt (Holland, Mich.) and junior Abby Calaway (Berea / Berea-Midpark) finished second with a time of 4:17.08
- 1000-yard freestyle: senior Emma Kreber (Cranberry Twp., Pa. / Seneca Valley) won the event with a time of 11:22.93
- 200-yard freestyle: junior Isabelle Parr (Brunswick) won the event with a time of 2:06.66
- 50-yard freestyle: Sisler won the event with a time of 30.37
- 50-yard breaststroke: McCombs won the event with a time of 33.19
- 100-yard butterfly: Veldt finished second with a time of 1:04.56
- 50-yard freestyle: Calaway won the event with a time of 24.95
- 1-meter dive: junior Claire Fried (Kent / Kent-Roosevelt) finished first with a score of 142.32

- 500-yard freestyle: Kreber won the event with a time of 5:35.86
- 50-yard butterfly: junior Kayla Stewart (Marietta) finished second with a time of 28.76
- 400-yard freestyle relay: team consisting of Parr, senior Emily Hauck (Avon Lake), senior Erika Fogarty (Dimondale, Mich. / Holt) and Calaway won the event with a time of 3:52.63
