ADRIAN, Mich. – School history was made on Sunday as freshman
Emma Hanrahan (Tipp City, OH / Tippecanoe) was crowned champion at 138, becoming the first tournament champion in program history, at the Adrian Invitational.
Hanrahan beat Kallah Zacherl from NCAA Division II Gannon by technical fall.
Additionally, two Raiders earned top-8 finishes at 180, as
Shelby Walker (Clayton, OH / (Northmont) placed sixth and
Lesli Sanchez (Plain City, OH / Jonathan Alder) placed 8
th.
Mount Union finished 15
th out of 30 team with 46.5 points.
The Purple Raiders are back in action Tuesday, Nov. 19 with for their dual opener at Baldwin Wallace.
