ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Mount Union men's wrestling team opened its 2024-25 season with its home invitational inside Peterson Field House on Saturday.

Nicholas Nettleton (Reading, PA / Exeter Township) won 149, following a 4-1 decision over Gannon's Isaac Piatek. Nettleton went 5-0 on the day. Sophomore
Steven Marra (Salem, Ohio / West Branch) earned a third-place finish at 285 after beating Ohio Northern's Myles Johnson via a fall.
Gannon won with 212 points, followed by West Liberty with 172.5. Ohio Northern finished third with 153. After Ferrum in fourth (99.5), Mount Union placed fifth with 97.5 points.
