CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Mount Union men's wrestling team split its two matches at the Mount St. Joseph Tri-Match on Wednesday.
Senior
Jack Stanley (Broadview Heights, OH / Brecksville-Broadview Hts.) won his 100
th career match, just the eighth Mount Union wrestler ever to accomplish this feat.
Stanely won his 100
th dual match vs Wilmington via forfeit and followed with a pin against MSJ at 125. Earning a technical fall victory against MSJ were freshmen
Maxwell Cooper (Tuslaw, OH / Tuslaw) at 157 and
Steven Marra (Salem, Ohio / West Branch) at 285.
The Purple Raiders lost, 30-22, to Mount St. Joseph, and won, 45-6, over Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) foe Wilmington.
Next up for the Purple Raiders is the NCAA Central Regional Championships, starting on Friday, March 1.
