BEAVER, Pa. – Mount Union's men's swimming and diving team defeated Westminster 182-111 in a dual meet on Saturday afternoon.
Top Finishers
- 200-yard medley relay: team consisting of sophomore Jacob Hathaway (Lexington), sophomore Lucas Starling (Lexington), freshman Blayne Maurer (Canton / GlenOak) and junior Conner Arneson (Mount Horeb, Wis.) won the event with a time of 1:38.32
- 1000-yard freestyle: junior Dylan Cossin (Stow / Stow-Munroe Falls) won the event with a time of 10:10.68 and sophomore Owen Zundell (Marietta) finished second with a time of 10:54.24
- 200-yard freestyle: Arneson won the event with a time of 1:47.49 and junior Mason Wilkson (Dayton / Chaminade Julienne) finished second with a time of 1:48.27
- 100-yard backstroke: Hathaway won the event with a time of 52.34 and freshman Angelo Lawrence (Mooresville, Ind. / Center Grove) finished second with a time of 55.76
- 100-yard breaststroke: sophomore Jackson Froman (Kent / Kent Roosevelt) finished second with a time of 1:04.71
- 200-yard butterfly: sophomore Keith Turnbull (Stow / Stow-Munroe Falls) won the event with a time of 2:06.70
- 50-yard freestyle: freshman Bruce Beyer (Plymouth, Mich. / Plymouth-Salem) with a time of 21.84 and Starling finished second with a time of 22.16
- 100-yard freestyle: Arneson won the event with a time of 49.79 and freshman Cameron Burnett (Canfield) finished second with a time of 50.43
- 200-yard backstroke: Hathaway won the event with a time of 1:56.82 and Lawrence finished second with a time of 2:06.41
- 200-yard breaststroke: freshman AJ Quisno (Toledo / St. Francis De Sales) won the event with a time of 2:20.35 and junior Emmett Martin (Canton, Mich. / Plymouth) finished second with a time of 2:23.68
- 500-yard freestyle: Starling won the event with a time of 5:00.79 and sophomore Brett Doehring (Humble, Texas / Kingwood) finished second with a time of 5:12.53
- 100-yard butterfly: Beyer won the event with a time of 52.27 and senior Eli Holm (Murrysville, Pa. / Franklin Regional) finished second with a time of 54.90
The Raiders return to action on Wednesday, February 14 for the first day of the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships at Ocasek Natatorium in Akron, Ohio.
