ALLIANCE, Ohio –  The Mount Union men's wrestling team lost to No. 23 Ohio Northern, 34-9, at home in an Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) dual meet.
 
The Purple Raiders started strong with two decision victories by senior Jack Stanley (Broadview Heights, OH / Brecksville-Broadview Hts.) at 125 (3-0) and sophomore Nolan Frye (Valley View, OH / Walsh Jesuit) at 133 (Dec 9-8). Stanley beat Colin Mellott who was No. 4 in the region, while Frye beat Dylan Lee who was No. 3 in the region.
 
Sophomore Nicholas Chaddock (Minerva, OH / Minerva) won three points in the final seconds to win 4-3 at 197.
 
Mount Union is back on the mats at the Mount St. Joseph Tri-Match on Wednesday, Feb. 14, starting at 6 p.m.
