Zack Mazza (Flint, Mich. / Powers Catholic) continued his long ball streak with another home run, this time a two-run shot to left center field, putting the Purple Raiders in front 4-3 in the seventh. Junior
Joe Lenart (Cleveland, Ohio / Garfield Heights) added an insurance run with a sacrifice fly in the eighth.

Eric Schilling (Stow, Ohio / Stow-Munroe Falls) had a solo home run in the second. Freshman pitcher
Christopher Maurer (Hudson, Ohio / Hudson) improved to 2-0 on the season, after coming in for relief and only allowed one hit in four scoreless innings, while striking out four.
Westminster dropped to 11-16 on the season.
The Raiders will next host John Carroll on Wednesday, April 17 in a conference doubleheader with game one starting at 1 p.m.
