ALLIANCE, Ohio – Mount Union's men's swimming and diving team defeated Ohio Northern in an Ohio Athletic Conference matchup 151-111 on Saturday afternoon.
Top Finishers
- 200-yard medley relay: team consisting of senior Conner Arneson (Mount Horeb, Wis.), sophomore AJ Quisno (Toledo / St. Francis De Sales), sophomore Daniel Claxton (Georgetown, Guyana / West Demerara Secondary) and sophomore Bruce Beyer (Plymouth, Mich. / Plymouth-Salem) finished second with a time of 1:39.44
- 1000-yard freestyle: sophomore Cameron Burnett (Canfield) won the event with a time of 10:27.77
- 200-yard freestyle: senior Dylan Cossin (Stow / Stow-Munroe Falls) and Arneson finished first and second, finishing with times of 1:46.58 and 1:49.04 respectively
- 100-yard backstroke: senior Mason Wilkson (Dayton / Chaminade Julienne) finished second with a time of 55.50
- 200-yard butterfly: senior Michael Hubbard (Springfield, Va. / Homeschool) won the event with a time of 1:59.18
- 50-yard freestyle: junior Jacob Hathaway (Lexington) won the event with a time of 21.96
- 100-yard freestyle: Hathaway and junior Lucas Starling (Lexington) finished first and second, finishing with times of 48.07 and 49.70 respectively
- 200-yard backstroke: Wilkson, junior Keith Turnbull (Stow / Stow-Munroe Falls) and Beyer finished first, second and third, finishing with times of 2:02.95, 2:04.74 and 2:05.15 respectively
- 200-yard breaststroke: Quisno finished second with a time of 2:18.14
- 500-yard freestyle: Cossin, Arneson and Burnett finished first, second and third, finishing with times of 4:53.36, 4:57.28 and 5:05.13 respectively
- 100-yard butterfly: Hubbard won the event with a time of 54.68
- 200-yard individual medley: Hathaway, Turnbull and Wilkson finished first, second and third, finishing with times of 2:03.31, 2:08.31 and 2:08.35 respectively
- 400-yard freestyle relay: team consisting of Starling, Beyer, Cossin and Hathaway finished second with a time of 3:15.78
The Raiders return to action on Friday, January 17 at 6 p.m. when they host non-conference foe Ashland in the Hammond Natatorium.
