Men's Swimming: Raiders Swim Past Wilmington in OAC Matchup

WILMINGTON, Ohio – Mount Union's men's swimming and diving team beat Wilmington 152-108 in an Ohio Athletic Conference matchup on Saturday afternoon.

Top Finishers
  • 200-meter medley relay: team consisting of sophomore Bruce Beyer (Plymouth, Mich. / Plymouth-Salem), junior Lucas Starling (Lexington), sophomore Daniel Claxton (Georgetown, Guyana / West Demerara Secondary) and junior Jacob Hathaway (Lexington) won the event with a time of 1:49.37 and the team consisting of senior Mason Wilkson (Dayton / Chaminade Julienne), sophomore AJ Quisno (Toledo / St. Francis De Sales), sophomore Angelo Lawrence (Mooresville, Ind. / Center Grove) and senior Dylan Cossin (Stow / Stow-Munroe Falls) finished second with a time of 1:52.22
  • 800-meter freestyle: sophomore Cameron Burnett (Canfield) finished second with a time of 9:12.50
  • 200-meter freestyle: Cossin won the event with a time of 1:57.18
  • 50-meter backstroke: junior Keith Turnbull (Stow / Stow-Munroe Falls) finished second with a time of 28.72
  • 50-meter breaststroke: Quisno finished second 32.84
  • 100-meter butterfly: Hathaway finished second with a time of 59.55
  • 50-meter freestyle: Starling finished second with a time of 24.60
  • 100-meter freestyle: Cossin won the event with a time of 53.46
  • 100-meter backstroke: Hathaway won the event with a time of 58.58
  • 100-meter breaststroke: Quisno won the event with a time of 1:10.26
  • 400-meter freestyle: senior Conner Arneson (Mount Horeb, Wis.) finished second with a time of 4:29.39
  • 50-meter butterfly: Beyer and Claxton finished first and second with times of 26.97 and 27.11 respectively
  • 200-meter individual medley: Hathaway and Turnbull finished first and second with times of 2:15.98 and 2:20.15 respectively
  • 200-meter freestyle relay: team consisting of Arneson, Cossin, Lawrence and Starling finished second with a time of 1:39.80
The Raiders are back home next when they host Westminster on Senior Day on Saturday, February 1 at 1 p.m. in Hammond Natatorium.
