ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Mount Union women's wrestling team hosted the 2024 Purple Raider Open on Sunday.
 
Freshman Hailey Rose-Caldwell (Cincinnati, OH / Taylor) went undefeated at 180, winning four matches. Freshman Emily Jirousek (Grafton, OH / Keystone) won both of her matches at 207.
 
Freshman Karlie Stith (Salem, OH / Salem) lost in the first round at 145, but battled back and won round two and round three. Freshman Alexis Wetzel (Riverside, OH / Stebbins) won round one at 180, while classmate Ilani Jones-Wallace (Salem, OH / Salem) earned a win at 131.
 
Mount Union will next compete in the Warrior Open on Saturday, Jan. 25 in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
