Men's Swimming: Raiders Sting Yellow Jackets in OAC Matchup

ALLIANCE, Ohio – Mount Union's men's swimming and diving team beat Baldwin Wallace 138-57 in an Ohio Athletic Conference matchup on Saturday afternoon.

Top Finishers
  • 400-yard medley relay: team consisting of senior Jacob Hathaway (Lexington), freshman Trey Nickoli (Lexington), freshman Isaac Tennant (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Moon) and senior Lucas Starling (Lexington) won the event with a time of 3:35.50
  • 1000-yard freestyle: seniors Owen Zundell (Marietta) and Brett Doehring (Houston, Texas / Kingwood) finished first and second with times of 10:54.95 and 10:58.47 respectively
  • 200-yard freestyle: Hathaway, Ja. won the event with a time of 1:48.79 while freshmen Leo Iacovetta (Mayfiled) and Joe Hathaway (Lexington) finished second and third with times of 1:49.77 and 1:58.14 respectively
  • 50-yard freestyle: sophomore Andrew Popovic (Twinsburg) and freshman Logan Bass (Cincinnati / Indian Hill) finished first and second with times of 23.25 and 24.09 respectively
  • 200-yard individual medley: Starling, Nickoli and junior Mason Currier (North East, Pa.) finished first, second and third in the event with times of 2:03.45, 2:10.94 and 2:14.67 respectively
  • 200-yard butterfly: junior Angelo Lawrence (Mooresville, Ind. / Center Grove), Doehring and Bass finished first, second and third with times of 2:07.70, 2:20.54 and 2:21.41 respectively
  • 100-yard freestyle: freshman Ethan Harvey (Macedonia) and Hathaway, Jo. finished first and second with times of 48.49 and 52.51
  • 200-yar backstroke: freshmen Santi Salazar (Wooster) and Paul Yorkievitz (Macedonia / Nordonia) finished first and second with times of 2:05.39 and 2:09.09
  • 500-yard freestyle: Tennant and Iacovetta finished first and second with times of 5:03.66 and 5:10.70 respectively
  • 400-yard freestyle relay: team consisting of Harvey, Tennant, Hathaway and Starling finished first with a time of 3:15.38
The Raiders head to Wooster next for the first day of the Wooster Invitational on Thursday, December 4 at Wooster High School.
