OLIVET, Mich. – The Mount Union men's wrestling team went 2-1 at the Olivet Duals on Saturday.
Mount Union junior Steven Marra (Salem, Ohio / West Branch) at 285 and freshman Blaine Chrisman (Medina, OH / Medina) at 184 both went undefeated at 3-0 on the night. Marra earned two pins and a technical fall. Chrisman earned two pins.
The Purple Raiders were winners over Alma (W, 30-13) and King's (PA) (W, 24-16) before losing to host Olivet (L, 32-17).
Against Alma, Chrisman at 184 won by pin, while freshman Jack DeBoe (Mentor, OH / Mentor) at 149 and Marra at 285 won via technical fall.
Against King's, Marra won by pin at 285, while freshman Mason Taylor (Millersburg, OH / West Holmes) won by technical fall at 125.
Against Olivet, Marra, Chrisman, and Taylor all earned a pin.
Mount Union (3-2, 1-0 OAC) is back on the mats on Tuesday, December 2, when it hosts Ohio Northern for its home dual opener at 7 p.m.
