Women’s Tennis: Grove City Edges Mount Union

ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Mount Union women's tennis team lost, 4-3, to the visiting Grove City Wolverines on Saturday.

Junior Amelia Francisco (Canfield, Ohio / Canfield) won no. 1 singles in three sets, 6-4, 4-6, 6-2.

Also earning singles victories for the Purple Raiders were freshman Jillian Lohnes (Alliance, Ohio / Alliance) at no. 3 (in tie-breaking fashion) and sophomore Emily Borchert (Richfield, Ohio / Holy Name) at no. 4.

Mount Union will next host Oberlin on Sunday, March 2 at 12 p.m.
