ALLIANCE, Ohio – Four student-athletes from the Mount Union wrestling programs have qualified for the 2025 National Championships.
Representing Mount Union at the 2025 National Collegiate Women's Wrestling Championships will be sophomore
Lyndsee Young (Mansfield, OH / Madison Comprehensive) at 207, freshman
Karlie Stith (Salem, OH / Salem) at 145, and freshman
Emma Hanrahan (Tipp City, OH / Tippecanoe) at 138. Young and Stith both finished runner-up at regionals, while Hanrahan placed third. Hanrahan leads the team in wins (33) and technical falls (16). Stith leads the team in pins with 15 and is second on the team in wins (25). Young is second on the squad in pins (14), to go along with 22 victories.
Representing Mount Union at the NCAA Division III Men's Wrestling Championships will be senior
Bryce McCloskey (Greenville, PA / Reynolds). McCloskey finished runner-up at 197 at regionals – his career-best finish. He's making his second-straight trip to NCAAs. McCloskey is No. 14 nationally-ranked. McCloskey has won 21 matches with nine pins and a technical fall.
The NCWWC Championships take place on Friday, March 7, through Saturday, March 8, in Coralville, Iowa, at the Xtreme Arena. The Mount Union women's wrestling team, under the guidance of head coach
Clay Wenger, is in its inaugural season. The NCAA Division III Men's Wrestling Championships will be Friday, March 14, through Saturday, March 15, in Providence, R.I., at Amica Mutual Pavilion hosted by Johnson & Wales - the Purple Raiders are led by head coach
Ryan Riggs.
