ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Mount Union men's tennis team won, 5-2, over the visiting Penn State Behrend Lions on Senior Day.
The Raiders earned the doubles point as junior
Elliott Warner (New Philadelphia, Ohio / New Philadelphia) and freshman
Nick Sziraky (Uniontown, Ohio / Green) no. 1, 6-2, and sophomores
Andrew Cavett (Beaver, Pa. / Beaver Area) and
Jacob Timonere (Ashtabula, Ohio / St. John) won no. 2, 6-1.
Mount Union also won the first three singles as Warner won no. 1 singles (6-3, retired (injury)), Cavett won no. 2 (7-6(1-0), 6-1), and Sziraky won no. 3 (6-2, 6-1). Sophomore
Noah Fink (North Canton, Ohio / Glenoak) came back and won no. 6 singles, 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-7).

Darese Sparkman (Massillon, Ohio / Massillon Perry) prior to the match.
Mount Union will next compete on Sunday, April 13 at Thiel with a 12 p.m. start.
