Mary Mason (Alliance / Marlington) and senior All-American running back
Tyler Echeverry (Naples, FL/Barron Collier) were selected as the 2024-25 University of Mount Union Clyde Lamb Award recipients.
The Clyde A. Lamb Awards are presented annually to 10 male and 10 female student-athletes from each of the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) institutions. Criteria for the award includes at least two years of participation in an OAC-sponsored sport, senior status, a minimum GPA of 3.00, and sportsmanlike conduct in a manner that has brought credit to the student-athlete and his or her institution.
Mason, an exercise science major with a minor in chemistry and biology, currently has a 4.0 GPA. She is a five-time All-OAC Academic and two-time academic All-Region. Mason is a five-time All-American who has earned 19 All-OAC honors as an 11-time OAC champion, to go along with six All-Region honors. She owns six school records. Her community service includes volunteering at the Humane Society and MLK Day of Service. Mason also is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) and Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
Echeverry earned 2024 All-American honors from D3football.com, the AFCA, and the Associated Press, including two First Team nods. The 2024 D3football.com All-Region 4 Offensive Player of the Year was this year's OAC co-Bob Packard Offensive Back of the Year and All-OAC First Team. This season, Echeverry ran for 1,761 yards, which ranks seventh in program history for the most in a season, to go along with 30 rushing touchdowns, which ranks fourth in school history.
