ALLIANCE, Ohio – Mount Union's men's golf team finished in second place after the first round of the Mount Union Fall Invitational at Tannenhauf G.C. on Saturday afternoon.
The Purple Raiders finished with a team score of 293 which is just one stroke back of John Carroll who leads the event.
Freshman
Austin Mariani (Kinsman / Badger) and junior
Brian Myers (Wadsworth) led the way for Mount Union, finishing in first and second overall, shooting 69 and 71 respectively. Freshmen
Matthew Contipelli (Solon) and
Jase Libb (Beloit / West Branch) rounded out the Raiders team score, carding 73 and 80 respectively.
The Raiders are back in action again tomorrow for the final round of the Mount Union Fall Invitational at Tannenhauf G.C. in Alliance.
