ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Mount Union men's and women's wrestling team both hosted the Purple Raider Open on Sunday.
The well-attended open included tough competition across all weight classes.
Freshman
Lori Grimes (Raymond, OH / Marysville) highlighted the night for the women's team as she went 4-0 at 180. Freshman
Molly Luebke (Brookville, OH / Brookville) was the champion at 117. Going 2-0 in their respective weight classes were sophomore
Emma Hanrahan (Tipp City, OH / Tippecanoe) at 160 and freshman
Abigail Mozden (Alliance, OH / Alliance) at 131.
Women's wrestling will next compete at the two-day Warrior Open in Fort Wayne, IN, starting on Friday, Jan. 23. Men's wrestling will next compete at the OAC Duals on Saturday, Jan. 24 in Westerville, OH.
