UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio – The Mount Union men's wrestling team competed in a pair of dual matches on Friday at John Carroll.
The Raiders lost a tight one to RIT, 23-20, and, 34-11, to John Carroll. RIT rallied down 20-11 with the last two weights to go.
Mount Union freshman
Giovanni Duniec (Cleveland, OH / Padua Franciscan) at 157 and freshman
Aiden Stecker (Salem, OH / Salem) at 165 both went undefeated on the night. Junior
Jacob Starkey (North Lima, OH / South Range) beat JCU's Aiden Ashburn, who was a returning national qualifier, at 174.
Mount Union is back at John Carroll tomorrow as it competes in the JCU Open at 10 a.m.
