AKRON, Ohio – Mount Union's women's swimming and diving team won the Ohio Athletic Conference Championship following the final day of the Championship Meet at Ocasek Natatorium on Saturday evening.
The Purple Raiders finished with a team score of 951 which was 141 points ahead of second place Ohio Northern.
All-OAC Finishers
- One-meter dive: senior Claire Fried (Kent / Kent Roosevelt) finished third with a score of 360.20
- 1650-yard freestyle: freshman Rydell Reif (Buffalo, N.Y. / Sweet Home) finished second with a time of 18:38.34 and freshman Grace Blachly (Powell / Olentangy Liberty) finished third with a time of 18:47.46
- 200-yard backstroke: freshman AJ Sliman (Amherst / Marion L. Steele) finished second with a time of 2:12.80
- 100-yard freestyle: senior Abby Calaway (Berea / Berea-Midpark) won the event with a time of 52.32 and senior Isabelle Parr (Brunswick) finished third with a time of 53.81
- 200-yard breaststroke: sophomore Riley McCombs (New Middletown / Springfield Local) won the event with a time of 2:27.77
- 200-yard butterfly: senior Nina Veldt (Holland, Mich.) finished second with a time of 2:20.20
- 400-yard freestyle relay: team consisting of McCombs, freshman Chloe Parr (Brunswick), Parr, I. and Calaway won the event with a time of 3:34.11
