ALLIANCE, Ohio - The Mount Union women's tennis team earned its second shutout win of the season with a 7-0 home victory over Thiel on Friday.
The senior combo of
Chloe Bancroft (Madison / Madison) and
Emily Peel (Green / Green) won No. 1 doubles, 6-1. Junior
Sophia Pruce (Hartville / Lake) and sophomore
Gracie Millard (Hartville / Lake) teamed up for a 6-0 shutout at No. 2 doubles.
Earning singles victories, not including by forfeits, were junior
Emily Borchert (Richfield / Holy Name) at No. 1, Bancroft at No. 2, Pruce at No. 3, and Millard at No. 4.
The Raiders improved to 6-8 overall, while the Tomcats dropped to 0-14.
Mount Union returns to conference action on Saturday, April 11, with a road trip to Ohio Northern with a 1 p.m. start time.
