Mount Union Finishes as Top OAC School In Learfield Directors' Cup

CLEVELAND, Ohio-- The National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) released the final 2025-26 Learfield Directors' Cup Division III standings, with Mount Union finishing 60th overall and was the top team in the Ohio Athletic Conference institutions earning points through NCAA postseason competition.
 
The Learfield Directors' Cup measures overall athletic department success based on institutions' performances in NCAA Championships across a variety of sports. The final Division III standings were released on June 8 following the conclusion of the spring championship season.
 
Mount Union had a strong finish to the school year with the spring sports account for over double of the points scoring 172 over four different teams.
 
Softball led the way with a historic team performance making the NCAA World Series for the first time ever and making the NCAA tournament for the fourth straight year in a row and 11th overall. They finished tied for seventh overall with 73 points.
 
Men's Golf made a return to the NCAA Championships for the first time since 2011 and fourth overall finishing 34th good for 37 points. Women's Lacrosse made its second straight NCAA Tournament and ninth overall appearance finished tied for 33rd good for 25 points. Baseball returned to the NCAA tournament for the second straight season as well and third overall appearance finishing tied for 33rd good for 37.5 points.
 
In the winter men's basketball returned to the NCAA Tournament for its sixth time ever finishing tied for 33rd good for 25 points. Women's wrestling made the first ever NCAA Tournament this winter finishing 21st overall for 53 points.
 
In the fall football made its 36th overall appearance in the NCAA Tournament finishing tied for 9th earning 64 points.
 
Mount Union led all OAC institutions with a 60th-place national finish and 314.50 points while Baldwin Wallace followed closely in 65th place with 302.00 points, while Ohio Northern ranked 66th nationally with 298.50 points.
