PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania—The Mount Union women's cross country team opened its season on the road in Pittsburgh competing at the Panther Open Friday morning at Schenley Park.
 
Savannah Dennison (Mentor) led the charge with a 18:29.0 5K placing 16^th overall in the race.
 
Brianna McIvor (Kenston) and Zoe Seabeck (Concord / Painesville Riverside) finished 23^rd and 28^th overall in the race with times of 19:13.5 and 19:45.0.
 
Renee Cicco (Strongsville) and Taylor Forbes (Byesville / Meadowbrook) rounded out the scoring team with placings of 30^th and 31^st with times of 19:47.4 and 19:52.3.
 
Gabby Kosky (Shadyside) and Brooklyn Patrick (Vienna / Mathews) finished out the top seven for Mount Union with times of 19:55.4 and 19:58.7.
 
Mount Union finished fourth as a team with a team score of 108 while hosts Pittsburgh won the meet with 30 points.
 
Mount Union will return to the race course next weekend on Friday, September 11^th at Lorain County Community College in Elyria, Ohio.
