The family of Mike Rogers, Mount Union class of 1977, and the University of Mount Union will be holding the third annual memorial golf outing in Mike's name to benefit fundraising efforts for continued improvements to the baseball facility.
The improvements done to-date as a result of this outing and other University fundraising initiatives has resulted in artificial turf for the infield. Future projects include placing turf in the outfield, a grandstand with concessions, and parking, among other improvements to the facility. The baseball field was re-dedicated in October 2019 as Rafeld-Rogers Field in memory of long-time coach Jack Rafeld and Mike, who lost his battle with cancer in 2017.
- Get a foursome. Teams can be registered to play by using the attached form. Costs for the outing are $75 per person or $300 per team, which includes 18-holes with a cart, drink tickets and dinner after the event. Social distancing requirements will be in place as required by Tannenhauf.
- Individual and corporate hole sponsorships are available with a tax-deductible donation of $100. As a sponsor, your individual or company name and/or logo will be prominently displayed on "Thank You" signage at the event and a golf hole of your choice. We will also list your name in the Mount Union magazine.
- Provide prizes and/or items for a silent auction. Those have been popular the last few years and help to keep people interested in the event. Contact one of the event organizers below if you would like to donate any items.
